Pros: Compactness - Lightness - Waterproofing - Diaphragm ring

Cons: Price - Autofocus (due to acoustic noise)

Opinion: A great lens, ideal for making a camera to take with you on nature hikes and travels. It is very suitable for taking "conceptual" photos, understood as those in which the quality of the image remains in the background compared to the subject or situation you want to portray and in this sense its 27 mm (40 equivalent) are in my way of thinking the most intuitive focal length and suitable for these purposes. Used examples are offered at absurdly high prices, (in the end I bought it new at the same price as the available used ones). From the point of view of performance it is an excellent lens (imperceptible geometric ornaments) from which, however, we should not expect miracles. I notice that to get results similar to those I achieve with other lenses I have to push more in the RAW processing, for example by pumping the saturation; and also in terms of tonal range it gives me the impression of being a bit "raw". In this regard, at Fuji, the only term of comparison I have is the XF 23mm f/1.4 R, which in terms of image definition and colors outclasses it without reservation (with weights and dimensions more than tenfold however). The aperture ring is very pleasant, very successful for such an optic because, combined with a camera body with an ancient flavor (such as the XT2) you find in your hands a jewel that puts you in a good mood, which makes you feel like a tourist on vacation and allows you to shoot as it was done in the era of mechanics only. The lens cap makes me a little anxious because it attaches to the lens simply by friction of the barrel barrel walls and there is no provision for a strap or similar to make an additional safety seal system. Not very suitable for video shooting due to the noise of the autofocus motor that disturbs the sounds recorded by the camera.

Pros: Portability, WR, optical quality and microcontrast sharpness, saturated colors, AF ok on recent bodies, beautiful BW

Cons: Ridiculous lens hood that must be replaced with a third party, to protect against side flares

Opinion: As an amateur. I use it on the go together with the 18-55 zoom and I'm fine. Equipped with vintage lens hood and neutral filter for battle. Mounted on xt30 II, it runs light, I use it in all weather conditions and at sea, obviously paying attention to the camera body which is not wr (sigh!). To tell one story, trekking in the rain, taken out for a few shots, made condensation on the filter, but the optics were perfect. The 40mm eq focal length is great for everything, with a few steps forward or backward, I like it. I often use f8 even on landscapes, clean photos. I also have to say decent detachment on a close-up, at wider apertures. Flares easily enter if you have sunlight coming in at the edge of the focal length. I also have the 35 1.4 which has something extra as a look.. But in trekking with variable weather and more uncertain situations, I prefer the 27, which also gives an extra breather on the landscapes. I also often shoot it in BW and I have to say that the microcontrast makes the photos with a nice texture. I'm left with the doubt vs 23 f2. In the end, the 27, with a suitable lens hood, still has its volumetric footprint. However, after long hesitations I have had it in the kit for more than a year, I am satisfied with it and I use it often.

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, af, wr.

Cons: Nothing at the moment.

Opinion: Purchased to support the 10/24 on fuji xt1. Lens that I use mainly for street, (40 mm on FX) and for light outputs when I do not need the wide angle. I immediately appreciated the weight, the lightning af and the sharpness not to mention the beautiful colors it churns out. In my opinion a must to have in a fuji kit. Advised!

Pros: Small light and compact, excellent construction, excellent diaphragm ring, excellent yield.

Cons: AF slow and noisy sometimes inaccurate, suffers sometimes second inclination side light ( ghosting ) for me unacceptable ?, in extreme light situations some chromatic aberration but nothing dramatic, for me what offers too high price.

Opinion: Tested right now on the 27 WR. I find many things excellent, excellent yield, compact and small I would say perfect if I were not the first generation AF? updated but unfortunately left the same AF noisy sometimes inaccurate unacceptable for a recently updated optics. The 27 WR to a bokeh not bad or the X-Pro3 the combination for street photography I think really good for the viewfinder also unobtrusive and ultra compact. The focal length this sore point corresponds to 40mm can be boring reason the wide-angle perspective or telephoto perhaps more interesting for many reasons but very personal consideration as focal length. Excellent also on this new updated Fuji 27 WR the tiny metal hood with plastic cap really a great choice but unfortunately it does not help much with side light I would say very disappointing with side light. This lens certainly very interesting for those who rarely use this focal length for the reason very light and compact so no problem bring it behind, otherwise if you need brightness and bokeh made at full aperture the choice 23 1.4 / 33 1.4 / 35 1.4 certainly advantageous. I recommend on the 27 WR possibly always the aperture f5.6 where extreme sharpness up to the outermost corners and sufficient depth of field for many photographic reasons. I recommend this lens for street photography or to close a focal hole only 100g are very little overall weight.

Pros: sharp, very light and compact, excellent value for money

Cons: focal sometimes a bit limiting

Opinion: A gem: excellent sharpness already at full aperture and impeccable up to f /8, even on the 40 megapixels of the Fujifilm X-H2. The distortion is very moderate, and if necessary easily corrected via software, as well as the very light vignetting. Despite being a zoom lover, I wanted to try this lens and I really appreciated its quality: it is definitely the best Fuji I have ever tried. It's incredibly compact and lightweight (82 grams!), it's bright, it has fast AF and it's tropicalized. The only limit is, of course, the focal length: it is equivalent to a 41mm on fullframe, and to have a good coverage it must be combined with other optics (I would see it well in a kit together with the Fuji 14mm f / 2.8 and 50 f / 2.0). For lovers of fixed and for those who want quality without compromise, I recommend it without reservations!
