![]() | Sigma SD Quattro Pros: The Foveon sensor, Sigma lenses, an overall well-designed and ergonomic camera, Sigma adapters that allow you to use SA lenses on Sony mirrorless and L-Mount. Finally, an excellent Monochrome shooting function. Cons: Poor battery life (remediable by having more batteries), really frustrating viewfinder. Opinion: Those who use this camera are well aware that it is not a tool for 'universal' and everyday use; It should be considered as a second-use camera, but it still delivers amazing results today, despite the age of the design. I integrated everything into a system consisting of Sony and Leica cameras. My Sigma SA lenses (focal lengths from 14 mm to 105 mm) are used both on this camera and (using the appropriate adapters) on the other cameras; I therefore have only one series of Sigma SA lenses, without duplication with the lenses of the other cameras and taking advantage of all the automatisms on all cameras. For those who need to have the manual in Italian, I point out this link: https://drive.proton.me/urls/BQ9W0N3QZG#fjJyKr6afyVu sent on May 10, 2025 |
![]() | Fujifilm X100F Pros: Compactness, optical quality, jpeg file quality, extraordinary viewfinder (not even Leica has one like it!), Film simulation! Cons: Exceptional optics, but not very versatile focal length. I would prefer a multifocal lens, like "Tri-Elmar". Opinion: I've been using this camera for about six years now. I bought it to have a quality compact camera that I could always have with me. Out of habit, I always shoot in jpeg+RAW, but I have to say that with this camera I get quality jpeg files and I almost never need to use RAW files! As I have already said, I believe that with a multifocal lens (Tri-Elmar type : https://www.juzaphoto.com/recensione.php?l=it&t=leica_tri-elmar_16-18-21) a camera of this type could be 'perfect'. It is a versatile and customizable camera that makes you rediscover the essentiality of photography. The autofocus is versatile and almost perfect; I normally use manual focus with the "Back-Button Focusing" option. Another positive feature of this camera is the B&W files of excellent quality and with different options. The viewfinder is perfect and versatile: you have an excellent optical view, with bright bezels, and at the same time you have a good electronic viewfinder available. I have some doubts about the optical add-ons (of excellent quality) that reduce the compactness of the camera; but they are not mandatory. sent on April 04, 2024 |
