![]() | Samyang AF 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Pros: Focal range Cons: weight (it would be justified if the optical quality was up to par), poor sharpness at full aperture. Opinion: I wanted to give this perspective a chance, buying it new and trying it in person, given the scarcity of reviews available online. Held one day, I took just a few test shots, put it in the box and sent back to the sender. I was simply disappointed, because shooting at full aperture the sharpness is not comparable to the various Tamron 28-75 G2 and 70-180, which this lens was supposed to replace. Honestly, I wasted no time closing the aperture, simply because, for me, it would not make sense to pay the "price" of weight and size like that and then find myself shooting with closed apertures. I'm sorry I have nothing more to say about the lens because really the disappointment was such as to promptly send it back to the sender, without further evidence. Sorry for Samyang of which I own the 45mm and the 75mm 1.8, lenses of which I am overjoyed. I expected more. Update of 28/05/2023: Following the cue given to me in MP by OldLigure, I uploaded to the gallery some shots I had taken with the Samyang, accompanied by the respective replicas made with the Tamron this morning. The light conditions were obviously different, but the yield of the two optics is clearly different. Good light to all. sent on May 23, 2023 |
