![]() | Canon EOS RP Pros: Versatility, price/performance ratio, good image quality, very favorable weight and dimensions, reliable and precise autofocus (with RF lenses). Cons: Very poor battery life, over 6,400 iso the noise is quite evident and unpleasant, some details such as the flip of the display and the battery door know fragile and must be handled with care. Opinion: My assessment is basically positive. I start from the price of 1,000 euros for the body, for which sincerely and honestly you can not ask for more. The autofocus is responsive and always very precise, the integration with RF lenses has succeeded. Please note: with the adapter you can safely use EF lenses but with RF lenses everything works significantly better. In addition, when mounting EF lenses, there is an obvious imbalance between small body and bulky and heavy lenses. The gust is slow. To have a faster burst, however, you would need a more performing processor capable of continuously managing rather large files, af tracking and a faster burst: there is on the higher models and this has its own logic. The battery door really conveys the impression of fragility: treat carefully. To contain the external dimensions they have also "sawn" the battery: to suffer, of course, is the autonomy that does not go beyond 300 shots. They are just a few. The quality of the photographs produced is really good in my opinion, there is chromatic fidelity, a good engraving and the automatic white balance with environmental priority works very well, even in the shadows. The sum of the whole is, for me, positive. sent on October 21, 2021 |
![]() | Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Pros: Lightness, overall image quality, effective stabilization. Cons: Vignetting at the minimum focal length. Opinion: Traveling with this lens in combination with the Eos RP is a real pleasure as the whole is light, compact and versatile. The images are really good quality, engraving and not at all inferior to those obtained with the EF 24-105 F/4 L that I used previously. As usual, the hood is optional: I bought a third-party one paying it "well" 17 euros. The stabilization is absolutely effective: I managed to take photographs (of static objects) at 1/8 of a second at maximum focal length: not bad really. At 24 mm the vignetting is really noticeable but the electronic correction offered by the Canon DPP software is effective to solve the problem. The product, as far as I am concerned, is globally very valid and the construction has nothing to do with the plastic lenses ef type 18-55 0 18-135. sent on October 19, 2021 |
![]() | Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM Pros: Lightness, easy handling, price/quality ratio and overall image quality. Cons: Nothing considering the price. Opinion: I bought it without hesitation by combining it with the Eos RP. I don't even realize that I have it with me: freehand you handle it which is a pleasure. The stabilization works really well, effective: you can use absolutely slow times without risk of moving (with the obvious exception of the fact that the subject is stationary). Obviously with little light it suffers, inevitable. The focus is always safe and reliable. I read and hear many people argue that Canon could have made an f/8: true. But making an f / 8 would have involved greater weight and dimensions and also a higher price and also it is not at all said that in the future they will not do it to cover a further range of market demand. The price is absolutely adequate to the product offered, the general quality does not make me turn up my nose even in front of the lack of the hood (otherwise purchased by third parties at 20 euros). Very well, in my opinion, the photographs produced. sent on October 18, 2021 |
