![]() | Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: The best wide-angle for value for money Cons: Bulky lens hood, f4 only Opinion: In 2024 it represents the best quality/price compromise for those who want a wide-angle on FF. Purchased practically new for less than € 250, it is certainly not the best Canon wide angle, but it has the build quality of the L series, representing a good compromise for those who, like me, do not live from photography, but still want valid lenses. As already pointed out by others, you need to close a little to get a good sharpness and the lens hood is definitely bulky, but if you are looking for a lens for landscapes (perhaps using a tripod) without having to break the bank, the 17-40 L is a must have. sent on August 21, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus 9mm f/8 Fish-Eye Body Cap Pros: Portability, price, weight Cons: Sharpness, darkness. Opinion: Spending $50 on a lens makes you think you're holding a toy in your hands. And indeed it is, at least from the point of view of fun. With this lens on the camera body, you're ready to shoot at any time, with unrivalled portability. It is at its best combined with a mini tripod, for long evening exposures in urban areas or during the day for panoramas. Is it a professional lens? No. Is it suitable for any occasion? Does it allow you to have fun? Yes. And for the money it costs, it has an unparalleled quality/price ratio. sent on May 07, 2024 |
![]() | Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Pros: Focal Range, Stabilized, Portability Cons: Doesn't excel at anything Opinion: It's not an L-series. And he doesn't want to be. It's a convenient all-rounder lens for aps-c. For photo shoots you need more, but I think a professional knows it well. Is it dark? Yes. Is it blurry? Yes. But if you know what you're using it for and what you're using it for, it's a great product for quality/price. I also have 5D II and L series lenses, but when I want to go for a carefree ride I go out with the 1000D and the 18-270: with them I have everything I need!! sent on April 13, 2024 |
![]() | Canon 5D Mark II Pros: Build and image quality. Cons: No WiFi Opinion: It was my leap into the world of FF. Machine that must be known and that can give so much. On yet outdated on many aspects (WiFi, AF and adjustable screen), it gives a color rendering that is forgiven practically everything! Robust, reliable, it will never abandon you, always allowing you to take home some interesting photos. It gives its best with adequate optics, but it also defends itself well with old and non-L series lenses. At the price at which it is used it is certainly better than many entry level or can be a valid alternative to those who want to approach a semi-pro without fainting. sent on February 12, 2022 |
![]() | Canon 1000D Pros: Simple, lightweight, lightweight files Cons: Cheap materials Opinion: It doesn't have the video feature, but for me it's not a flaw. It has all the functions that can be expected from an entry level, intuitive and practical. Now 10 mpx are outdated, but the files are light and easy to upload even on non-latest generation PCs. And if you learn to know her and you know how to use her she can still say hers. It's a great (and now cheap) machine to rely on to learn how to photograph. sent on April 11, 2021 |
