![]() | Fujifilm XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Pros: Quality construction, lightness, excellent balance, finally a nice lens hood with push-button coupling, sharpness. Cons: perhaps the aperture ring is a little soft. Opinion: I just bought this lens and started using it recently, so these are just my first hot impressions. I use it on an X-H2S and I have to say that the sharpness seems to me to be on par with that of the 50-150, which I consider one of Fuji's sharpest lenses. Even in combination with the 1.4 duplicator I do not notice any major losses in quality. The autofocus is fast and accurate, and one of the first things you appreciate as soon as you pick it up is its lightness and practicality of use. For a lens of this focal length, equivalent to a 750 mm on full frame, this is a fundamental aspect: you can use it for a whole day without feeling the weight. For now, the impressions are very positive. I reserve the right to update my judgment after longer use. sent on December 27, 2024 |
