![]() | Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Pros: Cost, yield in some conditions, stabilization, reborn on Z6 Cons: Not easy to understand. Opinion: I must say that my initial evaluation was just enough, as mounted on a D7000 at 500mm I could hardly pull out a sharp shot. Then the low brightness combined with the low ISO sensitivity of the machine, required several compromises. Passed to Z6 (sent for assistance to update the firmware as the autofocus did not work on mirrorless) the great rebirth! Eliminated all the problems of front back focus that I had on SLR and with a lower pixel density per inch (16 megapixels on aps-c for the D7000 against 24 megapixels on fullframe of the Z6), now brings out very good photos. A greater sharpness combined with a greater ISO sensitivity of the machine, allow you to get good shots with much less compromise. An optic definitely to be re-evaluated on fullframe mirrorless (provided you update it if necessary). sent on August 24, 2022 |
