![]() | Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 Pros: Great sharpness at all F stops, wonderful portrait lens . No aberrations and great contrast. Very smooth focussing ring. Cons: Heavy and a bit expensive but you are getting the best. Opinion: I took this lovely lens with me to Namibia and I loved using it to shoot portraits and faces from Namibia. The lens is a bit heavy for my age . You will come to know its potential when you use it as see the results and compare them to shots using other AF lenses. I am a landscape photographer and I am not into action and that is the reason I got interested in this lens and when I used it I wanted to buy it. Great lens for high resolution cameras. sent on April 01, 2016 |
![]() | Zeiss Otus Distagon T* 55mm f/1.4 Pros: Great sharpness and great contrast at all F stops. No aberrations and lovely focusing ring. Cons: a bit expensive. Opinion: I bought this lens six months ago and I fell in love without. I used to have my AF-S 24-120 zoom on my camera at all times but when I used this lovely lens I am keeping it on my D800E in all my travel. Very smooth focussing ring and not so heavy. I got used to its size and weight. I have shot wonderful shots of Shk Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi with it . sent on April 01, 2016 |
![]() | Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 Pros: Great sharpness in low light and very easy manual focus. No aberration , great dynamic range worth the money you spend. Cons: Heavy and expensive . Opinion: I am using this lovely lens as my standard lens when I take landscape shots. I had to wait for some time to get it but as soon as I have it I love to use it . I am not used to manual focus but with the smooth focusing ring it looks very easy to use. I have still to try to use it at F1.4 for shooting stars but I cannot find a place where there is no artificial light. sent on April 01, 2016 |
