![]() | Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VC USD Pros: Bright, solid, stable, great image quality, accurate focusing. Great value for money. Cons: doing many night photos (and with manual focus) there is always the risk of inadvertently touching the ring. The point of MAF to infinity is, in my copy, to 15 mm, not aligned with the center of the symbol. Opinion: I got it mainly for astrophotography (and marginally for daytime landscapes). Are immediately impressed by the sharpness and the micro-images. Other lenses canon must be closed to f/5.6 or f/8 to give the same impact this lens wide open. The quality of image, side-to-side with Samyang 14 mm shows definitely a vignetting much better controlled (over 1 stop) and higher quality. Also the image distortion is more controlled and smooth. As against, I note the extreme sensitivity of the focusing ring and, in the case of my copy, a slight centering problem because the extreme edges in the left side of the frame at f/2.8 have slightly lower image quality than the the right hand side. I have to say that the thing you notice only find a lot and just wide open. The inability to easily mount the filters is not a cons, for me, since I got this lens for other purposes ... However I recognize that it would be nice if you could attach a polarizer or ND at longer focal lengths (i.e. by 24 mm onwards). The bokeh, with 30 mm shots at close range, is a bit erratic ... the subject is off well from the background, but the background remains very recognizable. Certainly the short throw doesn't help. Last but not least: the stabilizer (high ISO) allowed me to take pictures pretty much in the dark, Freehand (gust), time otherwise unthinkable (0.5 seconds and, much more rarely, up to 1 second). I suggest, as always, to be disabled for shots with camera on a tripod because I noticed that can create a small shake (visible in picture). sent on April 11, 2018 |
![]() | Canon PowerShot G16 Pros: Versatile, excellent image quality, several interesting (such as time lapse, the 3-stop ND filter, portrait with "wink" or snap with the addition of a person to a group), very bright lens (1.8-2.8), file very pleasant up to 800 ISO and quite good up to 1600 Cons: optical viewfinder very rough, not very extended zoom (28mm wide angle). Charger with external battery, wi-fi only useful for downloading images, and also the 3200 ISO noise becomes high Opinion: I bought this machine primarily as a tool "walking" or for those trips where the weight of the SLR and objectives is felt. I must say that the picture quality is really good for the size of the sensor. If you do not need very wide format prints or producing images for web use, it can be a viable alternative to the SLR. Obviously, the limits emerge in low light or high ISO if you need the different focal provided. Very handy and intuitive controls, I really appreciate the rings devoted to scenes and exposure compensation. It also produces good quality raw files and HDR extremely natural. I also bought a medium with which to mount a polarizer (58mm) and I must say it works very well and also protects the lens. Very good also the macro sector, with the view of the area to fire through a specific color and selezionabile.rnSono happy with the purchase and, if I had a larger budget available, probabilmente I took G5X which is actually a step up in quality. sent on January 06, 2016 |
