![]() | Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Sonnar T* Pros: Sharpness, Construction, Price-Quality, Bokeh, Speed af Cons: Suffering in contrasts; The price in my opinion is, at the moment, in accordance with the value Opinion: I have owned the Sony 55 f1.8 Zeiss for about 2 years. I had the opportunity to test it in 1001 circumstances, such as Portraiture, Ceremonies and Street. Undoubtedly the focal length, together with the generous diaphragm, make the coveted "Portrait" its workhorse. The image quality is really good, the sharpness in the center is decent at 1.4, excellent at 1.8. The feeling in handling this lens is to have in your hands an instrument of excellent workmanship that, if used well, can give infinite satisfaction. Incomparable yield with the smooth 1.8, and at the same time unjustifiable the price difference with Plannar T 1.4. Advised. sent on November 11, 2022 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Pros: Construction, weight, sharpness, fast maf, quality/price Cons: nothing to highlight, considering the price Opinion: Essential premise: I use this optics on a sony a57, and my review depends on the experience that this canvas I drew from my body machine. I have read several negative comments about an alleged excessive weight and, honestly, all this makes me smile. We're talking about a telephoto lens, a 70-300, you can't expect a pocket optics. My very personal impression, in using this lens, is to have in my hands a durable optics, well built, decisive and pleasant (even by virtue of the weight itself, absolutely not excessive). The sharpness is great. The lens is quick to focus, and this can make all the difference in most of the scenarios you encounter when using a canvas. What should not be underestimated is the compatibility of the same with sensors both Apsc and FF: this allows those in possession of Apsc machines, like me, to be able to switch to FF in the future without necessarily abandoning this optics; you can use a specific adapter if necessary. Recommended. Considering the price my rating is 9/10. sent on May 05, 2020 |
![]() | Sony 50mm f/1.4 Pros: Sharpness, Brightness, excellent bokeh (accomplice, obviously, the diaphragm), Discreet yield at f1.8 Cons: Poor yield at f1.4 Opinion: I bought this lens about two years ago. I am in possession of an a57, machine apsc anything but recent and nothing more than entry level (consider the "against" also in relation to this). Despite the necessary premise, with a bit of practice and with the right idea this lens manages to make sense of any machine body. It is of an embarrassing brightness: where the machine body stops (noise above 800 iso), the 50 f1.4 compensates; very well I would say. The choice of this qualitatively performing perspective was dictated, however, by the intention to move further to a better machine body. Not to be underestimated, in this regard, the compatibility of this lens with sensors both Apsc and Fullframe, which does not make you regret even for a moment of the choice: my next purchase will probably be a mirrorless Sony and this goal, as well as others of my optical park, will not be lost. Strongly recommended. sent on May 05, 2020 |
