![]() | Panasonic G9 Pros: Well-balanced construction quality and grip, Tropicalization, UHS-II SD Dual slot, Fast burst and more than valid buffer, Stabilization (effective especially in video - DUAL IS2), excellent ergonomics with three rings and all programmable keys, lcd top, 4K 50/60p video without crop (limited to 10min), Internal 10bit video, multiple useful functions (pixel shift, stop motion, time lapse, slow motion 180fps, etc...), Price/performance ratio in 2020/21 Cons: AF Joystick does not move diagonally, EVF bearing distortion, lack of Autofocus settings in video (AF Custom Settings) Opinion: A machine with professional features and rich in features that are not yet found in many machines even more expensive or with larger sensor. Sensor that works without too much trouble up to ISO 1600, going up in ISO value with good light you can work the files in post production with some compromise but careful to recover strong sub-exposures. Autofocus with instant and precise DFD contrast system in AF-S, fast and good in AF-C photo side but tied to the shooting framerate in the video (performance drops by connecting external HDMI), then advisable the use of panasonic native optics for maximum effectiveness. An excellent micro 4/3 machine for those who are already part of the system or for those looking for a particularly versatile tool for multiple Photo-Video uses with an excellent price and performance ratio (749€ Fowa discounted March 2021). Very good image quality obtainable with the right light optics when compared to larger formats and keeping an eye on the budget, taking advantage of the equivalent factor wherever possible. Dimensions that should not "scare" given the excellent handle against a lower weight of the GH5. sent on March 28, 2021 |
