![]() | Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD Pros: Cheap, very fast lens, relatively light Cons: slow autofocus, made quite poor in poor light Opinion: I bought this lens used and in excellent aesthetic condition but taking it to do a bit of street at night really disappointed me: the autofocus is very slow, even slower than the 50 Canon, and above all it clearly misses the focus. I tried to compare a long exposure to about 50mm with that of my fifty Canon, both lenses in autofocus, but the sharpness is not in the least comparable: the Canon lens has won and not by little. At this point I wonder if he was not particularly unlucky with this specimen or if it is indeed so for the model itself. As for the opening of the diaphragm, I must say not bad considering that it is fixed at 2.8 along the whole focal excursion and the bokeh is good, but nothing so particular. I have yet to try it in good light condition but if it were to be usable only in that case I think it will end up selling it because for what I would do (night/street photography), a lens so fast but so unclear seems a little useless. sent on January 21, 2020 |
