Pros: the glass is superb for portrait; lightweight for walkaround; less expensive with great price/quality;

Cons: slightly focus hunting in lowlight; low build quality

Opinion: If you are not specialist in wedding or important portrait reportage, this lens is perfect for you. The glass, I bet, is exactly on a par with another luxurious 24-70 L lens. When you combine with a crop camera for walk around all day long photo activity , with total weight lens + camera less than 1 kg, it won't make your neck suffer and you'll get satisfaction with the result. Check it out in my short review - http://www.budiharyantophoto.com/2012/02/tamron-28-75mm-f28-sp-xr-di.html

Pros: New/Used Price.Worth all the money you buy is new and used

Cons: Lampshed, rear cap but for what you buy sn derisory

Opinion: I'm been using this lens with my 6D for 10 days. My specimen is perfect for any AF, very interesting for portraits and very satisfied with the views. Great blurry and very sharp frames. First of all I tentened long before I bought it, very undecided regarding certain reviews That I had read. Q/P very good grade 9.Small difettucci on the lampshh, and post cap.

Pros: Cheap, very fast lens, relatively light

Cons: slow autofocus, made quite poor in poor light

Opinion: I bought this lens used and in excellent aesthetic condition but taking it to do a bit of street at night really disappointed me: the autofocus is very slow, even slower than the 50 Canon, and above all it clearly misses the focus. I tried to compare a long exposure to about 50mm with that of my fifty Canon, both lenses in autofocus, but the sharpness is not in the least comparable: the Canon lens has won and not by little. At this point I wonder if he was not particularly unlucky with this specimen or if it is indeed so for the model itself. As for the opening of the diaphragm, I must say not bad considering that it is fixed at 2.8 along the whole focal excursion and the bokeh is good, but nothing so particular. I have yet to try it in good light condition but if it were to be usable only in that case I think it will end up selling it because for what I would do (night/street photography), a lens so fast but so unclear seems a little useless.

Pros: Astonishing sharpness of my specimen, with perfect focus, 2.8 at very low cost, 75mm make the difference compared to a 70 and those extra 5mm with excellent aperture and the ability to get close to the subject, because it is also a macro, creates a really remarkable bokeh , Beyond my expectation! The weight is really ridiculous and it is portable in every situation.

Cons: Excellent at 28 and 35mm decade to 50 and 60mm and then return incredibly momentum to 75 in an absurd way with a sharpness and bokeh wonderful despite the only 7 lamella.

Opinion: I have had several zoom lenses in recent years, the last of which the Canon 24-70 f4 L IS USM, this lens has given me a lot of satisfaction, a lens I defined in the review made, border the perfection, a lens really spectacular and sharp. In the end I sold it because I began to appreciate the fixed lenses for lightness and sharpness so I purchased the Tamron 28-75 just to have a handyman lens bright, inexpensive and for the eventualities, light and casual outings in the family. And who you had to wait all is quality?? I had no expectations, I was stunned! Paid used 250 euros, practically in new conditions with beautiful black and non-white ring nuts, New! I purchased it from a user of subito.it a professional photographer who I appreciated as a first person of all, who also made me try his Tamron 24-70 F 2.8 vc USD in his photo studio and is a beast of lens even better than the Canon F4 probably but Heavy as few.. This guy bought to work the lenses in physical stores and told me that at every purchase he will test at least 5 of the same model because Tamron has a bad quality control and most has flaws in front and back focus and since it leaves him down a kidney every VO LTA, he claims to try them thoroughly, and how right he is! In fact, even this 28-75 is perfect and I was definitely lucky to come across this guy that I will never finish to thank, even for the precious suggestions. The advice that I want to give everyone is to give him a chance and if immediately there is no surprise then give up because he has something wrong with the specimen that you have in your hands, because the good ones are beautiful and do not regret a Canon or Nikon , be sure. Even in low light hooks well, the engine is not ultrasound but hooks so fast that you do not feel even, small movements that do not absolutely regret the USM. It also has a 28mm lock button to prevent the barrel from lengthening. It is true that the edges loses in sharpness, it is absolutely true but honestly preferring the portraits do not count as flaw. At 75mm with a really close focus, I think about 30cm maximum, since it is also a macro from technical card, creates a spectacular bokeh effect worthy of a portrait lens, try to believe! As I wrote in the cons, between 50 and 60 loses a little bit but nothing, strange that in the middle you behave so but my eseplare is just like that. What else to say... Trust me buy it! Good luck to everyone.

Pros: Price. Focal length 2.8

Cons: Chromatic aberrations. Inadequate yield of light

Opinion: Purchased to replace the 24 70 Sigma 2.8 macro for the use I made it turned out to be totally unable to handle the comparison with a retired "colleague" .... supereconomic and honest optics, shows the rope in low light at Point to make the files produced less usable. On canon 6D over the ISO 1600 is a bit of a disaster unless you use ub flash or replay on any type of illumination. AF quite accurate but as soon as the dusk does not work hard on 6D ... In short ... a bright optic but absolutely distant from Canon and Sigma ... starting to shoot in perfect light conditions, as subject to Flare. That said 270 euro is worth it all and more ... but it is not a Canon 24 70 2.8 and, unfortunately, not even the Sigma 24 70 2.8. You must be honest. If, for a cameraman who portrays her children etc .. is the right optic probably ... but do not ask for more.
