olympus_12-100_f4pro Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm f/4.0 IS Pro

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I've owned this lens for about a couple of months, and I bought it for my next road trip in the national parks of the West Coast of the USA. I want to travel light and not change lenses all the time. I confirm all the pros of the previous reviews and none of the cons. The lens is truly professional, sharp at any focal length already at full aperture. I also own the 12-40mm f2.8 and the 40-150 f2.8 and this new lens does not look bad at all, indeed from a quick comparison with the 12-40 f2.8 it also seems sharper at any aperture and focal length, so I am satisfied. The double stabilization is also great, my hand is not one of the most steady, but at 100mm with a speed of 1/15 sec the photos come out sharp even to me. So those who claim to take sharp photos even at 1, 2 or 3 seconds are telling the truth, certainly on the wide side. What can I say further, in my opinion it is the ideal lens for travel!

olympus_mc1-4x Olympus 1.4x MC-14

Pros: Weight, size, build quality, price.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I bought this teleconverter just a few days ago with a promotion for only 249 euros, and after testing it I can safely say that the quality/price ratio is excellent. I tested the teleconverter with my M. Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 pro, inside the house and with a tripod, and my sample turned out to be very good in terms of optical quality. It shows only a very slight loss of contrast, very slight however, probably using it to take real photographs you don't even see this loss. Even the autofocus does not seem to be affected by the presence of the teleconverter. There's not much more to say about this useful accessory, except that it's small and well-built, so it's easy to carry around and use when you really need it.
