![]() | Ricoh GR II Pros: Compact, enters the pocket of a shirt; Light, for what it offers; Sharp optics already at 2.8; Ergonomics Perfect positioning of the controls, so that it can be used with one hand; Customization of the functions really incredible; Good hold at high ISO, or good up to 3200 and can still be used at 6400, especially in view of a conversion to black and white; Wi-Fi that can be convenient; Silence responsiveness and ignition speed; Focus distance in macro mode, SNAP Focus! Cons: Lack of tropicalization, or at least resistance to atmospheric agents and/or dust; AF not super fast in the dark but still very good in good light. Opinion: I think you understand my love for this little machine already from the long list of pros; I had in the past the x70, which I sold to then move to GR II. The focal 28 I like very much and in my opinion is the best to tell places and situations; I understand that this is an extremely personal opinion, but in photography what is not? I don't think I've ever had such a good feeling with a photographic medium. I have to outfit-also for work-two 5d Mark III, some L-series lens and I have had in the past other machines, including other brands (from Nikon, to Pentax, passing through the Sony A7): None gave me a comparable photographic joy. I will seem exaggerated, but I would invite anyone to try this little monster, because if the focal is the right one for you, you will hardly need to look anything else in the market. I am aware of the existence of the Leica Q, and I admit that it is my forbidden dream; Maybe someday I can afford it, but I don't think I'd give up the GR because of the portability. I look forward to the presentation of the third version, hoping that it will keep all the pros and that are filled some small gaps, but for now I live my love in a dispunked way. sent on April 22, 2017 |
![]() | Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Lightness, quality and sharpness. Cons: Well, what to say ... the slight vignetting at room temperature, but it is negligible. AF is not just fast but usable without any problems whatsoever. The rest is "only" f2.8, but ... it's a defect? No, it's just a characteristic of the lens that everyone knows before purchasing. Opinion: Light, crisp, comfortable. Focal length that is suitable for various kinds and can be used on several occasions. I prefer the 50 1.8 that I own because it is a bit 'more wide and because it is better in terms of construction (and af, probably). For the rest it's all been said about this lens, so I will not go oltre.rn sent on May 04, 2014 |
