![]() | Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS Pros: Sharp, lightweight, starts at 12mm, stabilized Cons: Yield a bit hard Opinion: There is not much to say, for what it has no particular defects: it is tiny but with a very comfortable focal range (24-64 eq.), it is sharp, has a fast and precise AF, is stabilized, resists flare well and has no significant PROBLEMS of AC. It does not have a captivating rendering like the other fixed ones I own, in fact it is a bit hard in contrasts and tonal passages, but being a kit lens it does not surprise me. I don't think there is any need to reiterate it but given the focal lengths and the aperture forget the blurred and use it in low light. sent on December 30, 2021 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 ASPH Pros: Good yield and blurry, low price, smooth focus ring Cons: For the price nothing, perhaps it is a bit bulky compared to the other fixed M4/3 of similar opening Opinion: It was my first fixed, which I then sold to take the 20mm 1.7. It has a really pleasant yield, good AF and good sharpness, although certainly not at the level of 20mm. It shows some chromatic aberrations that are well corrected by Panasonic bodies and post-production programs. It suffers a bit of focus shift that penalizes the sharpness at intermediate apertures, which however remains always good: test aside, in practice you will never see it. Overall, absolutely, it does not excel in anything but in relation to the price it is a bargain. sent on December 30, 2021 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II ASPH Pros: Sharp, excellent yield, compact, versatile focal length Cons: For some lack of AF-C and focus ring a bit 'inconvenient to use because of the very small size of the barrel Opinion: I bought this lens, new, for only 199 euros with 4 years of FOWA warranty. Aesthetically pleasing in silver color, I find that it has an excellent sharpness and yield in relation to the price. Full opening cartoon, although for me more than a con is a pro because it gives a nice mood to the images. The aperture is a bit slower to close than other lenses so shooting at closed apertures (at TA obviously not) you feel a slight shutter delay. It has the angle of view of a 40mm on FF which, for me who do not particularly like wide angles, represents the maximum versatility: I prefer it to the 50mm that in some contexts is narrow and to the 35 that can be a little too wide. The AF on my GX80 is slower than other lenses but much faster than I expected and the lack of AF-C, for the use I make of it, does not interest me. I noticed though that it is extremely accurate, more than the 25mm 1.7 and the 45mm Olympus. Its biggest advantage, however, is the fact of being pancakes: combined with a compact body type GX80 allows you to have the camera always with you, in a small bag or in the pocket of a coat, greatly increasing the chances of devoting yourself to photography. Now I use almost only this! sent on December 30, 2021 |
