![]() | Sigma MC-11 EF/Sony Pros: Lightweight, updatable and works with all Canon optics Cons: If you use non-L optics works the AF works slowly, on three land series optics with none turned on the green LED, video footage with 70-200 f2.8 USM II impossible Opinion: Driven by positive reviews, I bought this product to use my optics on an a7 iii, my optics used are 18-55 (the initial standard one), 85 f1.8, 24-70 f4 USM L, 70-200 f2.8 USM II L, 14 f2.8 USM L. On all L optics the photographic operation is excellent, a slower hair perhaps and much slower on non-L optics, but widely acceptable however in low light situations the AF is much slower and sometimes struggles to focus, the videos are completely unusable with the 70-200 the AF almost never focuses. With all the optics the LED has never lit green which means that theoretically the lenses should not be compatible but still work, Eye AF does not work on any optics and in MF the a7 does not automatically enlarge the detail, function which is automatically activated with the original optics when using in MF. In conclusion, based on my experience, I do not recommend this product if you want to keep all the features of the Sony targets, if instead you are only interested in photographing in non-complex situations then this product works well. Unfortunately I had to resell it as it did not meet my needs. sent on August 11, 2019 |
