7artisans_35_f1-2ii7artisans 35mm f/1.2 II

Pros: Constitution, opening diaphragm, general rendering

Cons: Lens cover

Opinion: Its construction is really impeccable, it has a beautiful design, perhaps the only thing that could be improved are there clicks of the diaphragm ring that are almost imperceptible. It is a very particular optics, at maximum aperture it has a good blur but it is not very sharp on the subject. Closing the aperture the sharpness improves considerably even already at f1.4. Overall it is a lot of fun to use and you can get good results. Rating 9

7artisans_50_f0-957artisans 50mm f/0.95

Pros: Character, construction

Cons: Diaphragm ring decliccaca

Opinion: It has an excellent construction, solid but at the same time not too big and heavy (I use it on Fuji XT3). The attack bayonet is a sight to behold, as is the front lens. At f0.95 it is quite difficult to focus, but not impossible and, at this aperture, the lens gives images with a "dreamy" character. Closing the aperture at f1.2/1.4 the images are much sharper, but always with a fascinating blur. For photographers the decliccata diaphragm ring is not the best, but still you get used to it, you simply have to check the setting before shooting since it tends to rotate easily. In conclusion, a lens with an exceptional value for money and with a "character" that is recognized. Rating 9

7artisans_60macro_ii7Artisans 60mm f/2.8 Macro MKII

Pros: Sharpness, solid construction, compactness

Cons: Lens cap, focus ring too short to infinity

Opinion: After trying this second version I immediately sold the first. There has been a significant step forward both in the field of sharpness and in that of weight and design. The colors it returns seemed to me perhaps a hair warmer than the Fuji optics. Surely it has an unbeatable value for money. The construction is very solid, the rings are very pleasant to use, but the usual pressure cap does not make me crazy, I always have the fear that it will be taken off in the bag, even if it has never happened, however the problem is easily solved with very little expense. The focus ring is rightly divided from the minimum distance up to 1 m, but from 1 m to infinity you have to be really careful because there are very few degrees of rotation ..... but we must think that it is a Macro objective. The absence of autofocus is not a big problem, especially in the most pushed macros, while I would have liked that yes they could get the shooting data. However I would strongly recommend this lens to those who want to have fun without spending too much .... p.s. in close shooting is useful a small LED panel to illuminate the scene for a good focus
