![]() | Canon EF 24-70mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Sharpness, stabilizer, macro Cons: Maybe the weight, but it's all in all contained Opinion: I've been using this lens for a while. The constant opening F4 did not make me regret the 2.8, having now the stabilizer. I use it mainly for street photography and landscape photos (but I have to say that even in portraits it defends well). The stabilizer is a great help especially for landscapes, as far as the street is concerned it is a really comfortable lens as the focal excursion is very exploitable: I think the best of itself is just 35mm and 50mm. (Before I used two fixed, now with only one lens I do everything). Of course you have to forget the blur that can give a greater opening of diaphragm, but for what it is worth you find photos taken at 24mm, or 35mm, or 50mm that seem to come from a fixed. The distortion is quite small, so much so that sometimes I do not even correct it in the raw room. The autofocus is very precise and fast. The macro function is a plus especially for those who hike in the mountains and do not want to load the backpack with more goals. Flanked by a bright fixture, I believe that with this lens you can cover 90% of the photographic needs (reportage, street, portraits, landscapes). sent on February 28, 2020 |
