ttartisan_apsc40_macroTTArtisan APS-C 40mm f/2.8 Macro

Pros: Extraordinary value for money. Build quality

Cons: Very impractical lens cover

Opinion: The strength of this lens is undoubtedly the extraordinary quality / price ratio. With just over 100 euros you can take home a discreet lens to approach macro photography. It is well built, solid and sturdy. The optical quality is good, also used as a "normal" lens (on apsc it is in fact a 60 mm equivalent FF). The aperture ring moves half a stop at a time with fairly precise shots. The focus ring is well frictioned and allows for easy and precise focusing. I confirm what I read in other reviews, namely that the color rendering is quite cold, but it is not a problem in my opinion. Small note out of tune the lens cover, which consists of a small metal cap that screws on the thread of the filters. It turns out impractical, but just replace it with a simple cap with a diameter of 52mm, and even that is not a problem. For the record I mounted it on a small X-E4 and, if it is true that it unbalances the car a little (... something that also happens on this camera body with lenses such as the 23 or 35mm f2), the overall handling is not bad even if used without additional grip. I highly recommend the purchase to those who want to experience a bit of macro without fainting.

fujifilm_x-e4Fujifilm X-E4

Pros: Build quality, photographic quality and extreme compactness.

Cons: Nobody, if you choose it for what it offers.

Opinion: Personally I could consider it the perfect machine because it fully meets my needs, namely compactness, extreme portability and essentiality, together with the great photographic quality. I'm using it with fixed lenses like the 23 and 35 f/2, in addition to the small 27 f/2.8 that is sewn on it, and also with the small and light 15-45 zoom. Many complain about the poor ergonomics but I find it comfortable and the handling without problems. Probably with more voluminous objectives from that point of view some problem could be had, but I think nothing catastrophic. Of course, maybe the second rear dial would have been convenient, but by setting the available buttons well, together with the front dial that can be set to 3 functions, you still find the way to operate at best. The battery does not last very long, but even this thing is overcome with a couple of spare batteries .... Fujifilm offers several alternatives for those who complain about the lack of this or that, and if you choose this car to take it with you and photograph, there is no lack of ibis that holds...........

fujifilm_x-t100Fujifilm X-T100

Pros: Construction quality, high iso seal, excellent jpg and RAW very workable. Exceptional value for money

Cons: Virtually none considering the price.

Opinion: The machine surprised me first of all for the photographic quality because it generates many beautiful jpg, also thanks to film simulations, and very workable RAW (in case you need it). Once the machine has been set up well and the ghieres, buttons and menus are set up, everything is under control and at hand and the handling is also pleasant, despite the grip being better studied (in this sense the small additional grip that is found in the packaging can help). The machine body is small but nice solid and the feeling is that the build quality of the camera is very good. The battery life seemed good to me and personally I went well over the 400 shots declared. Wi-Fi works well and is convenient to transfer "on the fly" a few shots to your smartphone or tablet. Of course, some compromise smust accept this, but on balance the value for money of the X-T100 is, in my opinion, exceptional. As for the lens provided in kit (the 15-45 f3.5-5.6 OIS PZ) I can say that it does not behave at all bad, it is quite sharp and the stabilization is good. The build quality, on the other hand, is not the best because it is entirely plastic and the dials are not very fluid, but this is also an acceptable compromise.
