![]() | Zenit Helios 44M-6 58mm f/2.0 Pros: Cost, availability, excellent bokeh, materials, Spartan Cons: Weight (but seeing the materials there can also stand), unsharp, little sliding ring Opinion: A good lens, excellent bokeh in any condition, very robust materials used (but that go to affect the weight of course). I bought this lens on subito.it at 15 euros, I am immediately in love, it is not the maximum but can be considered a valid alternative to 50 mm 1.8. It is now possible to find it really in any virtual used market and not at very low prices. At F2 the little sharpness is felt very much, especially when used in sunny days, without a nd filter or a lens hood, we can overcome this problem by slightly closing the diaphragm. The lens does not "give" photos, have to be sweaty, many photos will be shelled once exported, slightly moves (I notice only when I enlarge the image) or even you have very exposed areas. The focus ring is very hard, in fact I had to disassemble the lens and oil the internal mechanism. The first few moments is not a huge problem but after 3-4 hours of shooting the wrist starts to hurt (in addition to the neck). The weight is really excessive, not so much for the lens itself, but for the adapter (which must be purchased apart). A good metal adaptor gets to weigh about 150 grams, adding the 270 of the lens and the 700 grams (minimum) of the camera body becomes a bit of a hassle bringing this lens all day. Is it worth buying? Absolutely! Leaving its flaws, or you love or hate, is a lens to have in your photo kit for those days when you want to experiment a bit, also is a great "gym" for your own photographic technique, maybe for those who are in the beginning and do not want to spender and 130/150 euros in the Canon 50 mm can perfectly take this (and not the 50 mm yongnuo). sent on November 20, 2018 |
