![]() | Sigma 35mm f/2 DG DN C Pros: Build quality, sharpness, diaphragm ring, bokeh Cons: nobody Opinion: Love at the first shot. I use it on the Sony A7 IV and the files it churns out are great from the point of view of sharpness and colors. The fact of being able to decide whether to use the diaphragm ring on the lens or on A through the ring on the machine I find a not indifferent plus. To the touch this lens returns all the quality with which it was built. Excellent bokeh at full aperture sent on May 08, 2022 |
![]() | Sony A7 IV Pros: Ergonomics, key customization, improved menu. Cons: Resealable door, overheating Opinion: Six months later and intense use I see the first review that was very positive (maybe it was a problem of my expectations). I do not want to go from the stars to the stables, indeed I want to reiterate that it is a great machine. But... but... but... there are two things that I find it hard to digest. One is the counter. I prefer the one of the a III (it knows less about video and more about photography). Second, overheating: despite the firmware update, the situation has not changed. Awkward!!! The ergonomics are really fantastic, finally the grip to the touch gives the feeling of solidity. I appreciate the customization of the keys. Good thing I didn't sell the a III. sent on May 07, 2022 |
![]() | Leica Q2 Pros: The summilux lens that mounts, file quality, robustness, ergonomics, EVF sight, extreme handling of the DNG file Cons: nobody in my opinion Opinion: If you tell you that you have a machine with non-interchangeable fixed optics and then tell its cost, people give up and are ready to criticize. Of course, they are people who evidently stop at the "heard of". They would just try it for a few hours and then look at the photos well to convince themselves otherwise. In my review there is little to add beyond what has already been written by the other owners of this great camera. I can only add that, for those who love 28mm optics, the Q2 is a "must have", plus 35mm crop churns out 30mpx files (not to be believed!) The very, but very positive thing I've found is that the native DNG file, when you choose to crop in the car, in post-production Lightroom makes you see it based on the chosen crop, but keeps the native portion of the 28mm and if you want you can make further changes. Great thing. My vote is a nice 10 and praise! sent on August 23, 2020 |
![]() | Olympus PEN-F Pros: Aesthetics, portability, compactness, customization, stabilizer in machine, b/w files exceptional If you personalize the various monochrome profiles, viewfinder Cons: M4/3 sensor, excessive depth of field Opinion: After a year of assiduous use, I can finally say that it is not the system mirroless not to go well, but the sensor M4/3. I knew that I had not in my hands a full frame but I expected more from the M4/3 sensor both in terms of three-dimensionality and blurry aperture all open. In my opinion the unscrewing of the M4/3 sensors is to be the exact half of the full frame sensor and this creates a result for which not only the 25 mm on this sensor corresponds to the 50 mm on the full frame sensor, but a diaphragm of f 1.8 is equivalent to the same depth of camp or F 3.6 on full frame. In short, after a year I decided to return to the full frame sensor that either mirroless or reflex does not matter except for the lightness speech. sent on August 10, 2018 |
