![]() | Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS Pros: Focal range, general sharpness, colors Cons: Weight for system logic, falling lines, sharpness at edges, flare Opinion: I state that after 3 years of use I confirm what many have said: it is a great love great hate optics, frustrating from many points of view given the use for which it was born and dedicated or the pure landscape. I probably stumbled upon one of the many (too many given what you charge!!) "unlucky" specimens since the loss of sharpness at the edges -at all diaphragms- is often really annoying. I do not have great post-production skills so for me the problem of the flare is unsolvable.... In particular, and it is found everywhere on the net, in the central portion of the image a strange circular chromatic aberration is created to complement the flare. The excursion of the focal lengths is fantastic and the colors beautiful (far from the personality and pastel of a 14f2.8 to be clear). It was my only lens with variable focal length, tempted by the convenience of the excursion, but I keep my 14 .... when I mount it I feel completely safe on the result. sent on October 13, 2023 |
![]() | Meyer Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 Pros: Bokeh, construction, lightness, fun. Cons: No one if you know what you're buying Opinion: Without repeating to sciovinare all the peculiar characteristics that have made it the object of desires for a certain type of photography, I dwell briefly on the fact that there are no cons for two aspects: 1) the lack of sharpness for a lens that practically has to work at 2.8 does not have to be a suffering indeed, those who buy this lens look for that artistic effect characterized by softness. If you are looking for a razor you buy more 2) The prices found on the Italian market are unjustified. In 20 minutes of research I found a specimen in excellent condition on the foreign market in a famous photo shop at 250 euros so affordable. Ultimately, if the purchase is conscious and if you like the features of this lens it becomes a real toy for pure fun. sent on April 14, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro Pros: High build quality, blurred, rings, weight. Cons: Cat's eye bokeh balls. Opinion: Dry trend lens or not soft transitions between the extreme sharpness on the subject in focus and the excellent pastiness of the blurred. Fluid focus ring, generous in size and high precision in transitions. Snap diaphragm ring on lens. Between f2.8 and 4 just outside the center of the image the bokeh balls are characterized by the "cat's eye" shape or a marked ovalization of the same, which not everyone can consider pleasant (especially if it is used for portraiture). I do not repeat myself on the observations already made by other users that I fully share. In my humble opinion and use remains the best choice on the market for a macro lens to be mounted on fuji. sent on March 31, 2022 |
