![]() | Tamron SP 17mm f/3.5 Adaptall-2 Pros: Price, compact, construction, built-in filters Cons: Distortion, excessive vignetting, no thread to mount filters Opinion: Bought complete with box, housing and removable lens hood in petal (I really like it), it is located around €150 so the price "is right" for the performance of this lens. At the center is good but at the edges loses a lot (used on Nikon D700, FA, F5 and F100). It is great for the exits read or to take it on holiday. The construction of the SP series is made of metal and makes it pleasant both for touch and for use. I recommend to check the internal colored filters well before buying it because mine have condensation on it. sent on June 15, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G Pros: sharpness, brightness, size, weight, Cons: Lens hood ugly, plasticky and with Shell, lack of VR Opinion: Currently the best lens of my kit in terms of brightness and sharpness. The AF is not a splinter and has no stabilizer, but you do forgive with its 9 lamellae that give a terrific bokeh, from the weight and contained size, brightness and sharpness. It is the classic lens that if you buy it do not sell it anymore: I use it on both digital (D700) and on film (F5 and F100) from 2012 and I have no intention of selling it! Put backlight does not make a fold, and especially under this aspect known much the difference with other optics of my property. An "evergreen" lens that you must always have in your photographic kit, whatever use you have to do. Since I bought it in 2012 to €330 the price has risen significantly instead of diminishing................. something will mean? sent on June 15, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF 35-70mm f/2.8 Pros: Sharpness, used price, AF speed, macro, construction, brightness Cons: Flare, possibility of slow-disconnect Opinion: I have the Af-D version for more than a year and I took it with me pretty much anywhere. I use it on both digital (D700) and Analog (FA-F5-F100 etc.) so I use it for various purposes, from street to weddings. The sharpness is proven, on the other hand it was the Pro series of the years 80 (better known as "the lens of the Matrimonialista"). Compared with the current heir (24-70 AF-s) obviously has its "limitations", but honestly the speed of AF was never a problem, indeed: I find that the speed of some AF-D is better than many AF-s current. Since it is a lens that is born for the film has a very natural chromatic rendition, but against I could see that closes a lot of shadows. The pump zoom system is my favorite even if it pulls in some dirt. For the uses that I make (reported on) is very good, I would change only with a modern 24-70 VR, but already the 24-70 "smooth" in exchange for this I do not feel the need. sent on June 15, 2018 |
