Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 Pro Pros: Sharpness, speed, focus distance, supports Olympus in-camera focus stacking. Cons: In the presence of very strong light it tends to lose contrast and perhaps the general rendering is a bit flat. Opinion: I don't have much to add to what has already been said, except that it is a lens compact enough to fit any body, a true luxury replacement for classic kit optics but not only. If it weren't for the brightness, the performance does not make you regret the fixed lenses, compared to which, with the same aperture, it is perhaps a little behind in rendering the three-dimensionality of the scene but it can be a subjective impression. For the rest I don't have much to say except that from some tests on optical sight I have detected resolution performance comparable to real "monsters" such as the 17 mm Pro by Olympus and the 60 mm F:2.8 DN by Sigma, compared to which it remains slightly behind but these are minimal differences and detectable only in HHHD mode, The point is that in comparison with fixed lenses it does not look bad at all and in normal use the difference is practically non-existent. sent on 25 Febbraio 2026 |

Olympus M.Zuiko ED 17mm f/1.2 Pro Pros: It has it all, construction, robustness, speed, optical performance, it manages to get the most out of the micro 4/3. Cons: Weight and dimensions. Opinion: It makes the micro 4/3 comparable to FF, unfortunately also in weight and size, all in all a hypothetical equivalent 35mm F:2.4 on FF would certainly not be bigger and heavier but this is the price to pay, it is physical. That said, which remains the only perplexity, it is an excellent lens with great performance and no weaknesses. sent on 25 Febbraio 2026 |

Sigma 60mm f/2.8 DN Pros: Sharpness already at f:2.8, color rendering, unbeatable value for money. Cons: When it is not powered, some part remains suspended inside and tends to bob in transport, so far it has not created problems but creates a bit of apprehension. Opinion: To the merits already mentioned by many, I only add that I particularly like the color rendering of this lens, on Panasonic the complexion has a magnificent rendering. A lens capable of "raising" the level of my GX80, with which it is an unsurpassed combination, so much so that on the Olympus EM1.3 I think I have never mounted it. sent on 25 Febbraio 2026 |
