canon_eos_r6Canon EOS R6

Pros: Canon format ,dynamic range, viewfinder , doesn't miss a shot with flash , AF tracking

Cons: Anti-aliasing filter too invasive, few megapixels, file color

Opinion: Premise I'm not a professional I use it as a hobby taken immediately after the Sony a73 due to incompatibility with the keys and size . Well, after 2 years and 4 months, replaced with its sister R6m2, here is a real leap in sensor level. Immediately I experienced small difficulties with colors and refractions against the light on sunrises and sunsets, I bought RF lenses, I also tried top lenses but there was always something missing, the file size that with 20.1 mb limits the possibility of cropping and consequently I use zum to bring home the finished shot. The colors sometimes distorted, I always shoot without balance and limits with certain light occasions where it churned out low-quality files. With the flash a bomb the best so far, top night shooting with high dynamic range and af that picks up on the stars, a hoot. Immediately I used it with an electronic shutter but after several exits with defects and artifacts I switched to the half curtain. I don't use the various anti flicker systems but in the same way I have to say if you shoot in jpg with noise reduction and anti flicker you get crazy photos. I found a lot of difference between raw and jpg shots to the point of always shooting both in raw on one card and jpg on the other and then in post trying to pull it the same I didn't always succeed. I would never have sold it only the gearbox with a r6m2 and I must say what differences there are! I experienced for the first time the pleasure of buying a camera that with the passage of time has evolved almost to become another camera, here super Canon with the various firmware installed always with important updates has evolved the af system to the point that it becomes a drug, you use it even if you don't need it! Excellent camera has never missed a click, perhaps if you abuse it with burst shots it becomes hungry for batteries but with a charge always made from 2500 to 3500 photos for transition from reflex to mirles I recommend it with my eyes closed.

canon_rf100-400_f8isCanon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM

Pros: Lightweight, small, a surprise

Cons: At the moment I can't find any

Opinion: Purchased for test, immediately skeptical from the point of diaphragms, used only on Canon r6 and I must say a pleasant surprise. I arrive from Canon 80d and 300 f4 L series a leap in quality in brightness, sharpness at par, but excellent autofocus system. Now shooting without light limits the sensor combined with the lens makes it bright, the resolution for the 20 mpix of the r6 is more than fine but since I have it in the kit it is always in the backpack ! I did Sunrises, sunsets, photos on the snow with the kids never had problems with flare. It arrives without a hood and at the moment I have it for 5 months and I have never had the need to buy it! to say how ergonomics and dimensions mounted on r6 I find it more portable than rf 24/105 f 4 . Certainly less performing than the RF100/500 L but the difference in weight and price is considerable and not compared to the quality! I wait for time to understand if the construction is of excellent quality but for the moment the lens is perfect and does not vacuum dust. Brava Canon nice job!

sony_a7iiiSony A7 III

Pros: Dynamic range, ISO seal, amazing AF, small size.

Cons: Color churning out the sensor, small size (not suitable for my case) metal exterior (winter excursions at low temperatures freezes hands even with gloves), viewfinder in my opinion unwatchable you can see the white pixels of the focus. key position not of the best

Opinion: I am not a professional photographer my type of photo is 80% based on mountain outings, purchased for the sensor and small size, my first mirrorless , made me believe sold after 5 months for switch to R6, used 70 % with sigma ring, canon optics and sigma works perfectly except on the canon 300 L does not work the aF. Let's say one of the worst I've had really poor on quality, 90 % photos taken with the chip, I took sunrises and sunsets without an easel in times never seen before. Photos in the gym always in raw at the maximum shooting speed and made photos always in focus. Particular menu there is everything but a nice mix, I always set the camera before the exits so as not to waste time. I would never have chosen a mirrorless without trying this. Surrendered because of my hands degrees (it was not of my comfort) It left me the feeling that I was not the photographer and that the car did everything her, in av ISO car you can spend the day taking without ever looking at the photos taken you have the confidence to take them all home. The advice for those who want to experience the mirrorless world

sigma_18-35_f1-8Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art

Pros: Sharpness brightness and fine finishes also tried in really critical temperature conditions but perfect if you do not have a 80 D

Cons: AF Weight not compatible with Canon 80d that not having the phase matrix Mr. AF goes crazy

Opinion: Proven for over 8 months here I think 3 months passed in assistance Sigma sent back well 3 times then brought to calibrate the camera body but answer from Canon machine in perfect condition the result that in perfect live View does not mistake a shot with the optical viewfinder preference Setup Able to adjust the BEC or fron focus also with Doc station. I stayed in touch with the assistance for over 3 months always polite and helpful but the coupled in my case did not work. Even The technician told me that to calibrate the AF they use the live View cause that the 80 D has directly in the sensor certain pixels that tarano the focus of the image and no from the phase matrix. I made some beautiful shots and I regret it for the quality but after 10 days on vacation in Tuscany and a shoulder tired from the weight I sold it for a 17/40 F 4 L definitely lighter and more accurate but not the same Quality.
