![]() | TTArtisan APS-C 35mm f/1.4 Pros: Character, three-dimensionality, construction, price Cons: Maybe the flare at the maximum opening but, at the end of the day, I like it. Opinion: Goal purchased for about 80 euros, worth at least double. Excellent build quality, all metal, perfect rings, mini size. Image quality above expectations. The center of the frame is, in my opinion, very sharp. A bit of leakage on the edges and ac to the most open apertures but it is obvious for a lens of this price. There seems to be a more "net" drop in quality between f1.8 and f1.4 then from 1.8 upwards the general quality of the image improves homogeneously up to f8 where perhaps it gives the best of itself. A great buy rating 9 sent on May 10, 2022 |
![]() | Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Vario Tessar T* Pros: Build quality, stabilization, colors, overall image quality Cons: Weight and delicate painting. Opinion: I have been using the Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS for a couple of months, purchased used for 450 euros, I must say that I am fully satisfied. You can see right from the start that it is a very well built optics, the barrel is made of metal, the dials are soft and precise. You have the perception of having an object with monolith solidity, it is a solid and pleasant block to use. Right from the start I was impressed by the speed and accuracy of the autofocus. The images are adequately sharp at both 24 and 70 mm, the vignette is very pleasant and still removable without problems in post production. For me the really strong point of this optics is the rendering of colors and the three-dimensionality of the returned image. Before buying the optics in question I did not understand what it meant "Zeiss optics churn out three-dimensional images", I always thought that the color rendering was mainly the task of the sensor but I have to think again. Internal stabilization at the top, very useful for poor light conditions and in video shooting. Rating: 9 sent on September 01, 2019 |
![]() | Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 FE Pros: Size, weight, overall image quality. Cons: Appearance seems a little too delicate. Opinion: I have been in this position for almost a year and I am extremely satisfied with it. A one-of-a-kind goal. Small, light and with amazing quality. The autofocus is fast and precise that it "forced" me to sell its brother AF35 2.8 for its Zeiss so much that it was clear the difference. The quality is really great for those who, like me, love a bit of vignette (removable easily in postproduction) and it's not going to split the pixel to appreciate the quality on the edges. The merits far outweigh the flaws, portability and price make it a must have for Sony mirrorless owners. For those who are not convinced, I recommend trying it. sent on July 12, 2019 |
