![]() | Nikon AF 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G Pros: Very light, sharp, fast focusing, good color redering, cheap. Cons: None Opinion: I have had this lens for awhile and used it as my walkaround lens on a Nikon D600. It is sharp and fast focusing. Excellent lens. I have also used it on my Sony A7r as manual focus lens and that combo works like a charm. The lens is made of plastic so I take extra good care of it. It is simply to good lens to break even if it is cheap to replace. I got mine used for about Euro 50 in 2013. Included in the price was a film camera in good condition. I gave it a well deserved 9,0 sent on October 01, 2017 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix P900 Pros: zoom range, stabilizing works well Cons: small sensor Opinion: This camera has a good lens with stabilizing that works very well. On the other hand it has a small sensor that limits the image quality. But all in all it is a good poor mans choice for long range bird and wildlife camera. For the price it would not be fair to ask for more in this camera. If you want to get into bird and wildlife photography without spending a years salary on it this is probably your best option. sent on October 01, 2017 |
![]() | Nokia Lumia 1020 Pros: Camera, audio recording quality, video capabilities, Nokia Here, durability, easy to use OS. Cons: Long time between shots when photographing Opinion: The 1020 has a sensor size and megapixels count that are unique in a phone and that makes the camera in this phone great. Image stabilizing works like a charm and it is great to have manual controls for focus, ISO, shutter speed and WB. I love using mine for close up shots of flowers and insects. And I have even used it for studio portraits with good results. And I have used it with external flashes triggered with optical triggers. That only takes a few tests to learn until it works well. I also use it a lot for video and prefer it over my other cameras when audio quality is important. The lossless zoom in video is also great. I have been using this for 4 years now, I work in construction which is about the worst environment for a smartphone. Still it has lasted for 4 years now and still going strong. Only fault so far is the micro usb port that has suffered from filling with dirt multiple times and that has lead to some problems with charging the phone and transfering pictures so I had to switch to wireless transfer of pics from phone to pc but it works well so that is not a problem at all. Yes, it would be better if the battery was bigger and if it had more GB and if it could take pictures with less waiting time between pics. And rolling shutter effect is a problem when capturing helicopter rotors and such things. Those are the things I was hoping for improvement on in a upgrade from Nokia/Microsoft but now it looks as that will never happen. I bought mine for about $300 new in 2013. All things considered the Lumia 1020 is better than I was hoping for when I bought it. sent on October 01, 2017 |
