![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Pros: 2.8 sharpness, pleasing blur, pre-historic but effective focus, incredible price quality Cons: Sharpness below 2.8, almost unusable at 1.8 due to poor sharpness and large vignetting, really slow focus. Opinion: My first serious lens and true guilty of my passion for photography. Compared to the 18-55 in kit it seems to have another camera. Great as everything to do but vote for portraiture. It does not excel at anything but is really a great lens at a price from a dinner at the restaurant. Purchased 4 or 5 years ago and never again sold back always useful. sent on September 17, 2017 |
![]() | Canon 7D Mark II Pros: High ISO up to 1600, impressive 10x shutter speed, solid body, file quality even in jpeg, crop factor x1.6 (if useful), focus 65 fastest and always perfect. Cons: big over and 3200, confusing focus settings menu, unmatched battery life (600 shots with 17 55 2.8), no wifi and touch screen (not very useful but still better), really top weight Opinion: Awesome machine under many perspectives: The 20mpx is just perfect as a compromise between crops and high yield iso, magnesium alloy body that has a strong sense of robustness and the feeling of having something absolutely premium in hand. I have been able to test focus several times with moving subjects and on 10 shots I miss one (sometimes), so pretty much amazing. Coupled with a 17 55 2.8 is gorgeous and becomes perfect for so many occasions. Worth what costs as it is a 5d mark 3 but aps-c is with an autofocus and a burst similar to 1dx2. It is only advisable to do portraits or landscaping, in which case the full frame is definitely better. sent on May 21, 2017 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Pros: Almost everything: incredible clarity, construction even if very good plasticous, lightning autofocus, 2.8 aperture aperture useful with little light or some portrait, very good stabilizer. Cons: Lens not supplied, some dust comes in even if kept out of the box (but nothing to worry about). Opinion: The absolute best goal for aps-c, if you do not have a ff you can take it does not equal. I also had the chance to compare it for good with a 24-105 L, but there is no comparison, the 17-55 is much more powerful and sharp. The only goal limit is the fact that it does not go full frame and this can be binding on the choice of acqusto, but to have better but comparable results on ff you have to spend thousands of euros for a 24 70 2.8.
