![]() | Olympus 9mm f/8 Fish-Eye Body Cap Pros: Tiny, lightweight, cheap and fun. Cons: For what it is nobody. Opinion: I read various critiques in internet to this subject but, in my opinion, anyone who criticizes him is almost always because he didn't understand. Compare this to other fisheye lenses that, when it's good, costing more than twice is silly, this in fact is a kind of alternative to the CAP that you put on your car when you don't have lenses mounted, is plastic, has fixed aperture at f8 and the focus is manual in just three little provisions of which is infinite. It may seem a thing unnecessary and instead for what it costs in my opinion worth the expense, it's fun and if you learn to use it can give amazing results. Obviously one cannot expect yield and exceptional sharpness, distortions and aberrations are not lacking and moving away from the Center the quality goes down, but it's fun, it must be used in the right way to take time to do some test, become familiar with the focus puller and play on defects instead of thinking to fix them, the better it with black and white, or with film grain filter art. That said if you have a passion for pictures fisheye or wide angle thrusts and times quality and sharpness is then the case to look elsewhere. sent on April 22, 2018 |
![]() | Olympus 1.4x MC-14 Pros: Simply perfect Cons: None Opinion: Honestly I didn't care and I took it only because it was in a kit with the 40-150, I'm glad I did. Turn on 40-150 in a 56-210 f4 (112-420 equivalent!) and 300 in a 420 f 5.6 (840 equivalent!) and the magic lies in the fact that does not worsen the quality of the photos and does not slow the focus in either of the two lenses. Views can also be on your purse and used when needed. sent on April 22, 2018 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro Pros: Sharpness, blur, color rendition. Cons: The hood as far as functional whenever I open it I'm afraid of breaking it. Opinion: This lens, when compared to most others, is neither Compact nor lightweight but you have to think that we are facing a 80-300 equivalent and 2.8 aperture throughout the range, is a great lens, is also a pro so not even cheaper if worth every euro spent . The images which offers are razor-sharp and blurred and very nice, like the 12-40 the construction is great, it is sealed and has a snap ring that allows you to easily switch from auto to manual focus, there is a function key customizable. Like all pro the minimum focusing distance of 0.7 m with a magnification of 0, 21 x and can be exploited to make pseudo macro. Perhaps the only flaw is the hood, the idea is ingenious and comfortable, the hood is always mounted and runs over the target, the achievement makes it though a bit delicate. sent on April 21, 2018 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Pros: Small, light, bright and with a good yield Cons: None Opinion: Great, fantastic value, it's still a pro lens so not cheap but worth every euro. 24-80 is a lightweight, compact equivalent with an excellent performance even at full aperture. Plus it has a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 m with a magnification of 0, 3 x 40 mm which can come in handy. The construction is great, it is sealed and has a snap ring that allows you to easily switch from auto to manual focus, there is also a customizable function button. Add to this size and weight. sent on April 21, 2018 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M5 II Pros: All, size, lightness, sharpness, color rendition, stabilizer, jpg, weather sealing ... Cons: Advanced menu messy, painting the bottom (at least in the two colors I have) a bit delicate. Opinion: My first of many, Olympus, a leap of faith from Canon DSLRs at mirrorles, a jump that I should have before. First, the electronic viewfinder, it is true, is not the same as that of an SLR but it usabilissimo with the added convenience of being able to see various settings directly without removing the eye, in the long run, then you get used to and take advantage of all the other chance, take looking at the screen, shoot by clicking directly on the screen and even take your smartphone connected to the machine! The body is, in my opinion, beautiful, from a sense of extreme solidity, is well built and has many customizable buttons and dials, plus it's also weather sealed, in short, a real pro. Amazing the stabilizer that allows long shutter speeds even Freehand, even more amazing are the files that the M5 returns, the colors I do not at all regret my Canon full frame, the JPEGs are so perfect that sometimes I wonder if both really need to shoot in raw, the sharpness is awesome ... in short, a real gem. Let the painful notes, if we can call them, the only real flaws that I've found are:-the Advanced menu is a delusion, has many functions that allow you to customize anything, and this is positive, but are poorly organized and poorly explained. True that, apart from some specific need, once you set that menu you'll hardly ever, though at the beginning it is essential to put a hand to the manual to figure it out. -delicate coating of metal bottom, putting it here and it's easy to scratch, is an inconspicuous part and therefore not particularly, but the day that you are going to resell the car they will pay the price. sent on April 21, 2018 |
