![]() | Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 HSM Art Pros: Pro optics that excel in sharpness, distortion and color rendering Cons: Weight, Excessive costs of holders, filters and related components (assuming that you are looking for the top of the products on the market) Opinion: Perfection in photography does not exist but this lens touches it, the color rendering is excellent, real and well-balanced colors, distortion is almost absent, the top for landscaping and architecture; sharp already at f2.8 in the center and for most of the frame, this makes it quite valid at night, if the stars are also present, these will be elongated at the edges, the vignetting will be a lot especially when the exposure is not optimal; But I do not think that lenses of focal equivalent and aperture can do better, it becomes a blade on the whole frame closing the diaphragm of 2/3 stops and such is maintained up to f11 / f14, and by blade I mean the sharpness the real one, the one that makes the details readable even of elements placed at km away such as casoloari, hills, vegetation etc .. These characteristics remain unchanged at all focal lengths. On the other hand (like all wide-angle zoom lenses) it has the WEIGHT, considering that wide angle = landscape = long hikes, walks, trips .. With its 1,150 kg of weight + SLR and everything else, it can prove to be a real boulder to carry on the back, which is why after years of honorable service I finally gave it up sent on March 16, 2023 |
![]() | Sigma 24-35mm f/2.0 DG HSM Art Pros: Crisp and usable at all openings and focal lengths, excellent color rendition Cons: Overweight Opinion: I have this lens for a couple of months and I confirm what has already been written, very sharp at F2 great for night photography, if you want to appreciate the fine details of a better portrait close to f 2.5 or better yet f 2.8. I define a "generic" lens for my personal use, too short for portrait or too long when I need a large angle of field, certainly the best choice for those who do portraits set/ceremonies; Anyway you do not mistake a shot and take you home files from the quality and excellent color rendition. The vignetting is there at F2 and even over but just a click in camera raw (profile correction..) that pretty much disappears. If you really want to find a cons I say the overweight, 970 GR are made to feel on the species when you are traveling and by force of things you have to keep the equipment with you for several hours, for this reason I will change it for lenses more specific to my kind , having to make a choice in terms of weight, but always of this wonderful series. Sometimes I happened that the external lens is tarnishes and there is no way to dry it in the presence of moisture in my opinion due to the metal material used. sent on April 01, 2019 |
![]() | LEE Soft Neutral Density ND 0.9 Pros: Lightweight and resistant to shocks and falls Cons: Resin construction, high cost seen the material Opinion: He does his job very well, compensates for the strong difference between sky and foreground, by obtaining correctly exposed files, it is impossible to do without them. It is made of resin and is in my opinion a positive aspect because even if you fall or undergo shocks, it does not break and at the same time is negative because it is easily scratched. sent on January 25, 2018 |
