![]() | Canon 50D Pros: Construction, ergonomics, shutter speed, accuracy of every point AF system, resolution, holding up to 1600 ISO, AF micro adjustment, monitor bright and saturated colors. Cons: Battery life, on the AF side soggedtti moving almost non-existent. Opinion: I own this car for 2 years. I come from 450D and 550D. I find good in everything, or at least in everything that interests me. Robust and simple, no frills. I'm lucky with the coupled machines + optics but I often use the lateral points of focus for static subjects and the fire is always precise. I can not say the same with moving subjects, you have to let go of the side steps and use only the center. For what they complain about all or many, and that is the low resistance at high iso, I have done many tests than the 7D and the difference is a bit 'less than one stop to ISO 1600 and up. I must say that I avoid going over the 1600 iso. Use high iso when I need a very fast 1/1000, for example. Up to 800 iso much prefer the noise / grain of the 15-megapixel sensor rather than the 18 mpx that equips the 550D/60D/7D. You have to make a point. Many buy dark lenses and then pretend to go with the iso. In addition, everyone has seen the pictures only video and no printing. I print a lot, photo album or on Canon Pixma /Selphy. Poor battery life, compared to what would do me the 550D. There is also the micro perspective that has been useful for Sigma suffering from back focus. I do not think will sell anything, rather I would like to pair it with an old 5D or a 1Ds Mark II as soon as I find a good opportunity. If there is just one thing that I envy her older sister 7D is the fabulous 1x viewfinder and 100% coverage. sent on March 03, 2013 |
