![]() | Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Pros: Mind-blowing sharpness up to 150mm / Boken great for a zoom born a few years ago now. Cons: I can't find any Opinion: At the same time as buying a Nikon D850 that I wanted to use for portraiture, initially I was undecided whether to buy the 24-70 f2.8E (very versatile lens) and this 70-200 f2.8E, lenses that are obviously incomparable but my choice fell on him (as for my way of photographing I prefer long lenses) and never was my choice more apt. After having had several fixed 35/50/85/135 cameras that however suffered from the annoying problem of front/back focus with this 70-200 I found the definitive lens that I could leave glued to my nikon d850 (always accurate focusing, no front/back focus problems) as it really sharpens as a fixed at almost all focal lengths. Too bad I can't use it on nikon obsolete cameras as it has an electromagnetic diaphragm so incompatible with the first nikon digital cameras. Having said these few words, I believe it is the lens to have absolutely for those who own the latest reflex cameras and therefore this one wins the title of definitive lens for them.
