![]() | Canon EF 100-300mm f/5.6 L Pros: Optical yield from old times, used cost, focal range. Cons: Footprint, autofocus not lightning but precise, spare parts not available. Opinion: Discovered by chance in an old magazine of Photographing of the late 80s in which it was described as one of the newly released tops of the L series I decided to look for it and try it. Although it needs to be used more for nature photography I wanted to use it for portraiture and see how it behaved. I was surprised by the chromatic rendering and the delicate atmosphere it gives. The photos seem made of film and the fact that autofocus is not the top is not a problem since in the portrait you work calmly and quietly. Throughout its excursion the yield remains homogeneous and the push-style zoom at certain times has its comfort. Recommended for those who love the old-fashioned photo and always have with them a valid canvas always ready to amaze. sent on May 24, 2021 |
![]() | Tair-3AS 300mm Pros: Classic canvases with a vintage flavor, made excellent, blurry pleasant. Cons: Weight, footprint, gentle focus. Opinion: Being someone who loves to do portraiture could not go unnoticed. Despite being a 300mm, usually used for naturalistic photos, if you use it for portraiture it allows you to stay very far from the subject, almost hidden but knows how to give you that kind of old-fashioned close-up being a lens that has its years. Many will say just an 85 or a classic 135 to take certain photos but I am one who loves to experiment with optics and this I find excellent both as a yield and as a construction. Nothing to do with today's cineserie. sent on November 23, 2020 |
