Beautiful,
I caught this star while looking for the Milky Way and enlarging I saw this star with clouds around, I thought it was even a galaxy, now I know that is andromeda (famous and I understand why now)
Thanks for the info
if possible can you put the shutter speed, I with 10 seconds of 16-35 and made fuovo not precise, I found myself with stars conical XD

Edit: I read just now that is a union of more shots to 150 seconds, using a tracker?

Thank you guys! The poses are mixed, 150 seconds at 800 iso for the Canon 20Da (which I used on the core) and 180 seconds at 1600 ISO for the 5D3.
I used a motorized equatorial mount EQ6 SS, without autoguiding though, that's why I had to limit some 'exposure times.
Keo: This object, also called M31, is just the Andromeda galaxy. ;-)

Read on wiki that it is a galaxy, incredible that you can see with the naked eye, I had no idea.
Thanks for the clarification .. I'm afraid that for me is impossible to reproduce one click.
if I can .. I suggest you darken a bit on the dark background of the sky in order to bring out the stars

The original file Keo seen galassiette microscopic and distant as well as the protagonist, darkening the sky would be lost or would no longer be distinguishable from the stars. That's why I left the sky slightly clear, I know that you could push further elaboration to get a result from the impact stronger. In this case I preferred to find a solution softer. ;-)

Now I understand better,
however, the colors of this galaxy are beautiful, really good recovery, renewal compliments

Considering that it is only a little more than one hour of exposure, I can be content! If I have time and so it will be interesting to repeat the thing with much longer ...... We'll see! :-P

Bravissimo! great job and very well integrated thermal noise content, and above all the colors are natural and not as saturated look around, even PS've used well. Complimentissimi, Beppe-)

Thanks Beppe, just what I've noticed in the pipeline I tried to get an image as natural as possible and not forced! Thank you!

Hello Cristian, personally I find the colors very natural (given the focus of the second half) but I would have kept the stars less pronounced than the sky, I find them a little contrast and prone on the white ... but all tastes are discussed .. no
beautiful picture as all your I have always admired;-);-) I forgot, with what you have prepared?

Vega Hello, thank you for the compliments and spare your beautiful work! I prepared everything with photoshop, and probably some operation x reduce noise took away the colors to the stars .... I'll try to recover, albeit with digital SLR cameras are never very evident. The prox! :-)

Indeed, returning to the starting file, I have recovered quite well the colors of the stars, next time we'll do it carefully! :-)
Thanks to all, however, the advice and compliments!

I forgot, but you've also made a crop and is the natural vision conn a 400mm ??
Having a 70-200 + 2x multiplier would like to try my hand at star photos, not as complex as yours.
I repeat ... I found it by accident by clicking the skies with the 16-35 mm to 16mm and enlarged to 100% .. with a 400mm on FF is possible to have a similar magnification?

The field is slightly cropped to eliminate areas of overlap between the various frames. I used the 5D3 for the entire field, the 20Da Only the center to the galaxy.

Hello Cristian, I echo the compliments that you were sent. Curious about all processing done in Photoshop, as you have aligned and summed or averaged images?
Thanks in advance for your answer and clear skies!
