Sulla zona degli aloni non so dirti molto tranne che provare con il gradiente sfumatura con bassa opacità fino a che trovi un compromesso che ti aggrada, ma immagino che tu lo abbia già fatto 
Sul filtro ND mi sembra che hai trovato un buon compromesso con il tempo di esposizione, abbastanza mosso da creare la "magia" ma non così tanto da diventare forzato.
