Carina such as photos, I would have preferred a bit more contrast ... maybe if you felt to include more water and less stones, the composition would have helped.

Ps: why take it at all costs to 1/8000? you could avoid turning up the ISO to 800 and on aps-c, is always good.

Hello Matthew, have raised the fine details and is a pleasure to respond to a comment like this ;-)
So, let's start by contrasts.
I have increased both the vividness (about +40) and the contrast (+20), I also saturated greens to turn them on a little 'more in LR, then I switched to PS.
There, I had to work on the model's skin because (just to be intervened on the contrast and vividness), I was non-homogeneous (arms, feet and face were very red).
So I removed the small imperfections with the patch, fluidized where I thought it appropriate to intervene, and then I used the brush with the color of the model's skin where I found it more appropriate and zooming to 200% I removed the bulk of the red parts.
Finally, I gave a slight blur always on the model to make it more palatable (from my point of view eh ;-))
And that is why it is lacking in contrast, because the main subject of the photo, as you have done well you note, it is not, and I could not do otherwise, otherwise all the shadows that were there, both on the face than on other parts of the body , would leave an unpleasant effect (like panda) :-)

As for the speech composition (+ water - stones) you're right, it would have been better, but honestly it was really hard to move between a boulder and the other without falling into the water to find the right PDR, and I had to settle a bit ' the grips of luck that I found to try to make the best of the situation.
On top of that I was already satisfied phy the shot that I wanted to bring home I had already done (name photo Look at me in this same gallery).

The ottomillesimo was a mistake, admit it:-D is not a matter of "all costs", so much so that it is the only one at this rate.
I was trying ISO, aperture and speed and I forgot to return the parameters:-D
As for the ISO, I had a Canon 550d as before (practically equal to your 500d), and perhaps on that is, 800 were exaggerated, but on the 70d does not involve any major problems (see Noise obvious?) Talking about aps-C .
If thereask if there are many ISO 800 for this type of photo, the answer is yes.
I took almost all the photos in this place in 400, and was never more apt choice, because doing a couple of shots at ISO 100 I were shadows too sharp, hard, difficult to correct in PP, as long as they are softened and have become "tolerable."
I'll tell you more, with me there was another guy with 6D, and he too has noticed that the shadows that created the 70d were in a bit lighter than those of non-6D.
Then, in response to your post scrittum, I would have raised the same ISO, but not at 800 to 400, closing the aperture to f maybe 8 or higher.
Then Matthew, this is what I would have done back, the world is beautifulbecause it is different ;-)

I hope I have given some interesting answers as much as they were your questions.
A greeting

Alex

27 I just got back from them (and to get there I had to go to the mountain to take a bridge that crosses the river and back up to that rock), a bit 'were 4 and the location was not exactly comfortable for 4 people (we were both I and the other two models), since we impallavamo each other:-D and a little 'I honestly did not expect would begin in costume wow! :-D (I will be a chicken eh?:-D).

PS has recently (1 month or so) I use it too, but then for portraiture and fashion is almost a must.
Prepare to eat more pasta tutorial that because at the beginning it is not easy and I am more porconi that leave you all:-D:-D:-D

Tomorrow, more calmly, I do a tour for your galleries, cos & isevere; we get to know better ;-)

Hello Gigi, huh, you're right ;-)
The sun gave him a lot of discomfort to us and to them that scattavamo who posed, and this photo does not convince me at all either.
However, since I spent behind a bit 'of time on PS, and since they are the "first technical tests" (ahahahaha) I do with PS, I wanted to see if I had done major disasters or if I had worked in an acceptable manner: - D
Mainly this is the reason why I posted, so if you notice something is wrong even from the point of view of the PP, shoot that well every critique and comments are welcome to do so ;-)
Thanks for the ride, see you soon

Thank you so much Lenny-);-)
See, if it were up to me I would put the life, death and miracles in the caption of the photo, but not to seem too talkative I will only answer (always with great pleasure in front of a constructive dialogue) when I will require specific information or the why and wherefore I made choices:-)
As mentioned above I believe is the reason behind the growth and to whom you want to belong to a forum rather than another;-)
Lenny Hello, and thank you both for your passage to the appreciation facts:-)
A greeting and at the next opportunity

Alex
