color layers .. sent on March 19, 2014 (17:49) by Herman. 26 comments, 1659 views.

, 1/2000 f/8.0, ISO 200, hand held. Canyonlands National Park, United States.

Deadhorse Point...

Hello Ermanno
fabulous shot, the color of the basins reflects the blue sky in contrast to the red rock ..
bands and rings naturally stratified rock layers and artificial played by man in the docks ..
... If only there was an item that do understand the immensity of the size! Wow wow!

Flavio, you are right regarding the difficulty in understanding the actual size of the tanks .. wow! in fact the only visible at this scale (more or less right in the center of the photo) is the road used to bring the material to the tank lower than those on the other side wanting to connect and there is also a shack but they are both so small that we are not immediately aware of their presence :-)
For the record:-D The photo was taken at the maximum focal length (dx 105).
Thanks Flavio :-)

Thanks Jerry :-)
from what I've read (later) "in network" it seems that these tanks are approachable (at least up to a certain point) and, with the right conditions hourly and light, reflecting the sky above, adding an additional "special effect" to scene already very special in itself! ;-)

Very nice set of graphic elements naturally present in this photo. Notable naturally colors. :-)

Thanks Raffaele :-)
the idea was precisely to bring out the layers (natural and not) in turn already enhanced by the contrast of colors .. ;-)

Beautiful photo, on the merits have said all those who have preceded me. I have to then find fault:-D:-D and, in my opinion, the discordant note is the piece of the tank that you see on your right which disturbs the composition. I am, however, realize how much it was almost impossible to eliminate it.

You're right .. "compositionally would have been better if there was .. and probably if he had occupied a smaller portion of the picture I would have cloned:-D but all in all it justify the presence because it is there to demonstrate the operation" a vessel interconnected "tubs of these ;-)
Thanks :-) GmG

Very nice Ermanno, especially because of the contrast created between the reservoirs and the rocks of the canyon. Great glance and excellent composition. Beautiful colors too. Well done as always! David
