Barbara Io invece vado contro corrente rispetto ad Eliana e Arconudo, sia per quanto riguarda l'inclusione delle gambe dell'animale ancora vivo (per poco) e riguardo alla didascalia.
Per me le gambe dell'animale vivo raccontano in parte ciò che Mignolo ha spiegato nella didascalia, che in base alla ricchezza ed al ceto sociale del defunto si uccidano molti animali.
Riguardo alla didascalia, ritengo che in foto di reportage di viaggio la didascalia sia parte integrante e necessaria. Pensiamo a giornali come National Geographic e simili, in cui si pubblicano articoli su viaggi in posti esotici e sconosciuti, con le foto a corredo del racconto dell'articolo (spesso corredate di ulteriore didascalia per ulteriore specificazione del suo intento narrativo).
Senza didascalia questa fotografia mi racconterebbe la metà di ciò che grazie alla didascalia ho saputo.
Senza posso immaginare si tratti di un luogo indonesiano, o indiano, o pakistano o di chissà quale parte dell'est del mondo, ma dalla carnagione dell'uomo potrei pensare anche al nord dell'Africa o qualche zona del medio oriente (difficile da localizzare geograficamente con i pochi elementi presenti) e che forse si tratta di un sacrificio animale (potrebbe però essere anche una macellazione comune per una festa del villaggio, che ne so?) ma senza sapere nè il perchè nè il percome (al rito funebre non ci si arriva senza che nessuno lo dica).
Per certe tipologie di immagini, reportage di viaggio specialmente, la didascalia è, secondo me, indispensabile.
In questo caso la foto si reggerebbe pure da sola, ma sapremmo sicuramente meno della metà delle notizie che Mignolo ci ha gentilmente spiegato.
Tutto questo sempre e solo secondo il mio punto di vista, che non è e non vuole essere assolutistico
