Specie: Budorcas taxicolor

Takin Dorato, Monti Qinling - Cina -- Il takin dorato (Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi) è endemico della Cina ed è confinato nella remota regione dei monti Qinling, uno dei posti più selvaggi della terra. Imponente, il takin dorato ha le stesse dimensioni di una mucca ma è veloce e molto aggressivo. Ho scattato questa foto a 3.000 metri dopo 4 ore di trekking estenuante ed anche un pò pericoloso a causa della neve e dei precipizi (stavo quasi per arrivare in cima quando sono scivolato sulla neve e mi sono salvato da un precipizio aggrappandomi ad un bambù...). Purtroppo in cima non ho trovato il branco che mi aspettavo ma solo un esemplare molto nascosto che dopo alcuni minuti si è come volatilizzato (veramente... sparito nel nulla, da sotto i miei occhi!).
