Your valuable comments I read it twice because I was really caught! I think that's the time that has erased the memory of our past and of our precious story ... especially in a poor human being so modern and very marrow of the time that went just does not care! Maybe because times change quickly and in a bad way, but it's really sad to not be able, even remotely, look at the history of man in order to learn from the mistakes made and can, in some miraculous way, to heal all the ills of the world :-( Anyway deserve praise for your feelings in the photograph and in the telling of those things that are seemingly trivial!:-P ;-)

Very nice your thoughts Francesca. How much longer will bear these places is not given to us to know but they patiently wait, watch and judge.
With this in mind, your great shot!
Greetings to you, Dino

But how many of the "forced" and "privileged" listen to those rocks, those from white stones, from the fine sand and the sea indigo singing ancient civilization, lived in those places seemingly timeless natural?
It leads to much food for thought your caption. One of this is the difference between the rhythms of 'humanity that populated these lands in the full splendor of Hellenic civilization and today's date. This may indicate the degradation of our time and lost awareness of our origins, of 'social and cultural belonging. The example ports, of people who are experiencing a tourism destination rather than the fact of travel is the obvious representation of what we lost in wisdom. I am also a photo you want to comment: I think well done and balanced in composition, albeit in a restricted framework we can deduce the beauty of luogor but a field just wider would have made it better the meaning of your comment. Personally I would have more portrait cliff and a little less sea. Beautiful light and consequently the colors. It is an overall image that alone, I mean without a caption, do not arouse much interest. The credit is due to the combination of caption and photo shows where the best evidence, as mentioned by Fulvio Gioria, a fact otherwise mundane. In other words it seems to me a good example of reportage. Friendliness and a greeting.

Thanks for the comment, which helps to "see" better your own pictures. I agree that, in fact, the frame would suggest that most approached the two-thirds rule. Although what prompted me to photograph has been what I have explained in the caption, it is true that without caption the photo itself is not particularly eloquent. This is a discrete flaw. In fact I had a second photo much more eloquent in itself, but not sharp enough (photographed by hand, from a boat at anchor with a slight wave and without strong light). Hello, Francesca

suggest that the shot would have approached more to the two-thirds rule

Only now that you've pointed out I find I have you suggested that rule, but it is not specifically intended. Raising the shot and recovering more of the cliff (beyond the third) would have appreciated more this place. A greeting.

Beautiful photo "documentary" that brings us closer to places that in all probability, to the neglect of man, will not last ... in "forever"!
I was a few years ago in these beautiful places and the memory I have is exactly what you, as well, describe in your own caption!
With regard to the strictly technical aspect (without bothering to think about the rule of thirds or any other, as you may have noticed from my photos, I like ... "transgress" a lot) I would agree with As mentioned by Paul Corona!
Congratulations and greetings,
Paul

Thank you, Paul, for the extensive commentary. The fact that you agree with the judgment of Paul Corona makes me think that you're right especially as regards the shot. I photographed from a situation a bit 'unstable, as I said (in a boat), and therefore I hurried to shoot as soon as I had the feeling of having your hand steady enough. With more weight I might have been able to achieve a better balance of the components (or perhaps I realize only now with your help!) :-) :-| :-)

Hi Silver, I see your nice comment with a bit of delay. Unfortunately, it is perhaps more than a year since I have little time to attend the forum. Circumstances of life! I see that every now and then somebody "visits" and comments a few more clicks and so I tell you: you have to resume! Maybe this comment will make the right spring come true .... ;-) A warm greeting, Francesca
