Estate 2011, una piena improvvisa sul corso del fiume Tagliamento ha messo a grave rischio l'incolumità dei piccoli. Gli adulti freneticamente visitavano i nidi senza portare prede, chiaro segno di preoccupazione. Fortunatamente verso sera il livello dell'acqua cominciò a scendere e già l'indomani su quelle sponde riprese la solita vita fatta di caccia agli insetti ed imbeccate per i nidiacei.
