Lo stadio di Padova è piccolo, ma aveva gli spalti pieni e il prato gremito di gente. Solo dalla seconda serie di casse iniziava fortunatamente ad essere vivibile. Io ero lì. Ho portato la macchina per provare a fare qualche scatto, magari durante la pausa o in punti particolari del concerto. Il Porco Volante è uno dei pochissimi scatti che ho portato a casa in una giornata che è stato un viaggio che ho condiviso con la mia Sposa e altri cinquantamila appassionati di arte.
Il Maiale è atterrato sul pubblico dopo essere stato abbattuto da Hammer (O'Mazzolatore ). Un mio amico mi ha detto che voleva portarselo a casa, ma non aveva pensato al peso che può avere un oggetto del genere.
Questo scatto è un ritaglio. Ho lasciato fuori delle scritte che penalizzavano l'immagine dandole un significato politico troppo di parte. Su tutto il porco c'erano scritte e simboli, messaggi, parti di canzoni, stemmi che se decontestualizzati o presi singolarmente toglierebbero il senso di universalità non solo alla foto, ma anche al Porco.
Bellissima cosa, a mio parere è stata la serie di riferimenti ad Orwell e alla denuncia del controllo globale.
Per me Roger Waters è una fonte d'ispirazione, una leggenda futurista, The Wall è una delle sue più grandi opere di genio, forse la più grande della storia del Rock. Con i Pink Floyd non l'ho mai vista dal vivo, ma i musicisti che hanno preso parte all'ultimo progetto di Waters sono stati spettacolari.
