Questo è il sito dell'eruzione vulcanica di Litli-Hrútur, ancora in corso quando l'ho visitato, ma in realtà è un luogo nel quale si sono susseguite diverse eruzioni, a giudicare dal paesaggio. Le pietre in primo piano sono probabilmente dovute a smottamenti di passati eventi geologici e la loro disposizione è quindi del tutto naturale: mi piacevano perchè fanno da contraltare ai monti verdeggianti sullo sfondo, che come hai notato, sono bellissimi ed esaltati da una luce quasi eterea, cosa che mi ha spinto a scattare in quella landa desolata.
