Really beautiful, an image that perfectly conveys the beauty of the place, it reminds me a lot of the trip I made, I had caught a similar day there, practically the only one in 10 days of travel :-)
Congratulations as usual

I really like the idea, the glacier above, the central part where you can't see water, and the lower third where you can see the gift. Congratulations

Hello,
during the trip to Iceland that I made with my wife (1^ year of marriage! you think ! ) we diverted the route to arnastapi, which is located on the other side from Svöðufoss.
Apart from the most abstruse names of all time, when I saw the profile of this jacket I immediately thought of that unscheduled night in arnastapi. Thank you, you gave me some bright joy

The composition is beautiful and the chromatic combination of the three dominant colors is very beautiful.
Congratulations Alberto. :-)

Just think that I, Livio, last summer (between July and August) caught almost every day like this! ;-)

A fantastic place, portrayed without "loading" the post.
Often in these situations we would like to give us a bit of contrast, without exaggerating, but it goes to personal tastes. Maybe you gave a little crunch to the mid-tones to see what came out of it, but I'm convinced that your choice was thoughtful and in the end that's okay!
Bravo Alberto.
Best regards.

With the 160 mm you were able to flatten the planes and make this landscape very interesting

Thank you Beppe, Marco and Fabrizio! :-)
@Marco: the real scene had a nice soft light, with a bit of haze; I worked on the contrasts but I preferred not to lose that soft atmosphere that makes everything a bit soft... There's also a little extra contrast on the midtones! ;-)
@Fabrizio: I use this tele zoom more and more often in my photos because it adapts to so many situations. I'm glad you noticed the choice of optics behind this photo! ;-)
Good evening, Alberto.

Great shot. Iceland is beautiful... I miss him so much. A technical question: why 50 ISO, why the tripod? Couldn't you have managed, thanks to the stabilization, a faster time? At the focal length, do you really need to close the aperture so much? It's not just a matter of depth of field, is it? Thank you and excuse the impertinence.

I would also like to thank Caterina, Renato, Roberto, GF Studios and Elisabetta for the pleasant visit! :-P
A technical question: why 50 ISO, why the tripod?
By now I shoot almost all my photographs on a tripod, I'm used to it and it's rare that I shoot handheld; The tripod allows me to compose calmly and carefully and to choose the shooting parameters that best suit the moment. Here I wanted a slower shutter speed to make the water of the waterfall slightly choppy, so I closed to f/16 and lowered the ISO to 50: if I'm not mistaken I didn't have the ND filter mounted. So the F/16 in this case is more for the shutter speed than for the depth of field, which anyway, with a telephoto camera, is limited. From my tests with this lens I have seen that it performs well at f/16, as well as at f/11, and gives me a little more pdc. ;-)

Here. Now everything is clearer to me: fluidity of the water and optimal working range of the optics. Thank you very much for the explanation and your time. Good night :D

Very nice and congratulations also for the management of the snow whites absolutely pleasant and not burnt!
It looks like just above the waterfall there is a big lake, but I think that's just an impression...
Places of great breadth!
Great!
Ciaooo! ;-)
