Quanto è grande ngc2685 rispetto alla Luna ? NGC 2685 è una galassia lenticolare ad anello polare che fa parte della costellazione dell'Orsa Maggiore . Conosciuta anche come la galassia Helix, dista circa 40 milioni di anni luce dalla Via Lattea . Fu scoperto dall'astronomo tedesco Wilhelm Tempel nel 1882 . Questa galassia, che ha una dimensione di circa 50.000 anni luce, ha un anello rotante di polvere, gas e stelle perpendicolare al piano del suo disco.
