Alessandro, thank you comment and advice. Although the 400mm 2.8 FL is fantastic lens, with the 2x converter ( like many converters ) some image quality is lost. Also this was a heavy crop - so although, I also would have liked more detail, it was not really possible .....but I do get where you are coming from! Thanks once again for your input. |

A beautiful photo of a species that only once landed on the reeds that surrounded my stakeout without giving me the opportunity to shoot them,
I agree with the low resolution of the photo that does not allow to enhance the details, perhaps because of its distance from the stakeout, but here more than anything else the not very common species taken counts,
even if by now the site is no longer about nature photography but about technique in general.

concordo con la bassa risoluzione della foto che non consente di esaltare i dettagli, forse per la sua lontananza dall'appostamento, ma qui piu che altro conta la specie non comunissima ripresa,
anche se ormai il sito non è piu di foto naturalistica ma di tecnica in generale.

Franco, thank you for your observations and comments. The bird was probably 40 - 45 yards away, and even with the 2 x converter, the subject was still very small in the frame. I was just really pleased to get a fair result. Thank you for taking the time to comment, which I have of course taken on board. |
