Il Sigoldugljufur Canyon in Islanda è una piccola perla incastonata in un paesaggio lavico surreale, fino a poco tempo fa questo canyon era praticamente sconosciuto. Ciò che possiamo ammirare oggi è frutto di migliaia di anni di erosione ad opera del glaciale e potente fiume Tungnaá. Tutto ciò è stato tenuto nascosto dal forte flusso d'acqua del fiume fino al 1981, quando a monte del fiume è stata costruita una diga ed è stato creato il bacino idrico di Sigöldulón.
