Il comportamento singolare del Piviere tortolino mi sorprende sempre.
Confidente e tranquillo, difficilmente vola via ma pedona (neppure troppo velocemente, come fa invece il Corriere piccolo) per fermarsi ogni dieci passi e anche meno se individua del cibo.
E se la cavalletta è vicina ad un turista, non si preoccupa di andargli incontro...
Ogni tanto emette un debole richiamo flautato per comunicare con un altro esemplare poco lontano.
A volte, come in questo caso, si accomoda nell'erba e addirittura chiude gli occhi per qualche secondo...
Mentre scattavo questa foto, in lontananza è passata un'Aquila e il Piviere si è schiacciato a terra confidando nelle sue doti mimetiche, tenendo d'occhio il rapace.
