Il Naadam è la festa nazionale mongola; ogni anno a luglio si tiene nello stesso periodo e consente alla popolazione di ritagliarsi una settimana o più di ferie. Il culmine della festa è la grande parata nello stadio della capitale, pieno di coreografie e di sfilate con tutti i costumi più belli del paese. Pochi turisti riescono a presenziare tra gli spalti gremiti di gente locale, perchè i biglietti sono molto ambiti e terminano rapidamente. Come in tutte le celebrazioni che si rispettino, il presidente della Repubblica legge un messaggio alla nazione.
